The Sad Truth

I didn't fully understand how a skincare routine could mean so much to them. But later in life, I fell extremely ill and was facing a terminal diagnosis. By the grace of God, I survived—a true miracle in itself. However, surviving that chronic illness left my body incredibly reactive to harsh, mass-market synthetic fillers, heavy sulfates, and artificial preservatives. Using store-bought products or everyday perfumes meant experiencing severe reactive flare-ups.

During this period of intense physical vulnerability, my family’s philosophy came rushing back to me. Being able to care for my prematurely aging, sensitive skin and restore a vibrant, radiant appearance—without triggering an allergic reaction—changed everything for me. Skincare didn't save my life, but it allowed me to look and feel beautiful again when the physical toll of that illness was still visible on my face.

When I stepped into leadership in 2011, I made it my personal mission to share this care with the world. I was deeply moved to discover how many people called me suffering from the exact same severe allergies—individuals whose skin barriers had been compromised by harsh mass-market products. I dedicated myself to designing our formulas to support the needs of these clients, choosing purposeful, premium ingredients that deliver the benefits of top-tier luxury while remaining completely mindful of sensitive skin types.

Here is the heartbreaking part: we have been guiding this legacy for decades, cultivating over 300 formulas. We could have sold our company many times over. But our family chose not to sell out. Our clients trust us because they know we care about them, and we chose to protect that bond so we could continue to serve them with all our hearts.

Yet, I was recently deeply saddened to receive messages like:

"My order didn't come next day, I'm disappointed," or "Amazon gets my order to me in two days."

Yes, we are not Amazon—a multi-billion-dollar corporate network that mass-distributes items. We are a family-run company nestled on the beautiful mountainside of Creemore, Ontario. We passionately handcraft our products in small batches, ensuring every single jar is packed with fresh, botanical creams at their pinnacle concentration to achieve stunning visual results. Every jar is carefully filled by hand to ensure pristine care, and we label them by hand to keep our costs honest and affordable for you. If a batch sits on our shelves longer than our own desired timeframe, we will freshly blend a new batch. We cannot deliver next-day because we refuse to participate in mass bulking; we believe entirely in artisanal quality.

In a world where mass-produced goods are full of synthetic texturizers yet still claim to be 'natural,' it can be hard to remember that true, authentic botanical ingredients naturally shift from one harvest to the next. If you go to a local farmers' market, the apples look different, the papayas vary in size, and the grapes differ in sweetness. Nature changes with every season, and so do our raw materials. Because we use fresh produce to create our seasonal extracts, we choose not to use artificial dyes, industrial chemical deodorizers, or harsh chemical bleaching agentsto force a robotic uniformity.
